First of all, what is OpenMRS?

It is a network of volunteers from around the world with the same goal of improvising health equipments, providing adequate medical care and developing technologies in the medical field.

They support and work together to provide all these facilities in untouched regions of the world like Northern Kenya. They are located all around the world. The application is open-source and provides a Medical Record System with no programming language and enables input, output and storage options.

What is the conference?

This conference has been held from the past twelve years. It brings healthcare professionals and OpenMRS implementers from all around the world to give, share and edit ideas on ways to improve OpenMRS. There would be several professionals giving out various ideas with presentations. This style is a more practical approach towards electronic medical record system. Who are taking part in the event?

 Famous health practitioners and ideologists would take part in the event. OpenMRS implementers would also take part.

What is discussed and what is the importance of the event?

Improving health in all these regions is discussed for the betterment of the people. All these might act like a guidelines for a healthier mankind. 

Whatever is discussed in the conference would be very helpful for any medical student and would inspire mankind for many more organisation like this that would be committed to the betterment of mankind. Any health practitioner would find it a guideline for him and give him a spark to join these kind of NGO's. This is for all people familiar with OpenMRS and health practitioners from all around the world.
